A tribute to the glorious history of the Athenian watch ─ a new classic watch. Since 1846, Athens watches have been known for making innovative and precise timepieces. Therefore, naval commanders and merchant ship captains around the world have successively pursued the charts of the Athens watch and the astronomical clock and the observatory pocket watch. The Athens watch in Le Roque, Switzerland, always releases stunning and award-winning watches every few years.
These mechanical watches provide collectors and Swiss watchmakers with a source of design inspiration for stable performance and timeless beauty.

Today, the Athenian Watch launches the Nautical 1846 Watch, which inherits the classics and pays tribute to its glorious history.
The legendary model launched in 1996 is the release of the Athens watch to celebrate the brand’s 150th anniversary. This ‘Marine 1846 watch’ continues the 1996 legendary model, adding silicon technology and a large fire enamel dial to a new height .
The UN-118 self-winding movement is completely designed and developed by the Athenian watch. It has a 60-hour power reserve and can set the date quickly forward and backward.
Like previous watches, this Nautical 1846 has a retro design, hiding the iconic elements of the nautical series in a slightly larger 41 mm case: Roman numerals, a coin-shaped bezel and extraordinary water resistance.
On the enamel dial, small seconds, date and power reserve indicators are paired with the hands of an antique marine astronomical clock and the brand’s logo. The last antique feature is the back of the watch, which is engraved with gold records obtained by the Athens Observatory.
